A noter: tacheté, et non strié, sur les ailes; pas de zone grisâtre sur les ailes commes les autres espèces d'oedicnème, qui ont des grandes couvertures grisâtres (à coté des remiges noires).
Note the spots, rather than stripes on the upper parts. Also the absence of a grey zone on the wingsL the other species of Thick-knee have greyish greater wing coverts, bordering the black flight feathers.
